Lead VFX Jedi

Black Beacon is looking for a Lead VFX Artist to work in a large-scale MMO game project. You’ll become a part of cohesive community of artists, engineers and designers whose sole purpose is to make a really deep and immersive game world.

Main responsibilities:

  • Design and creation of crazy visual effects in the Dark Fantasy style.
  • Work with Unity engine.
  • Recruiting the VFX artists team.
  • Responsibility for the quality of the VFX department work.
  • Active participation in the team work, coordination of   actions to achieve the desired result and even higher!

Requirements:

  • Work closely with the Art Director and Technical Artist.
  • Management experience and work with outsourcers.
  • Great experience as VFX Artist in the game industry.
  • Experience in the development of particle and geometry systems according to the description / concept art.
  • Good skills of Photoshop and other graphic editors used for creating effects texture for using with particle systems / animated geometry.
  • Understanding of the Dark Fantasy / Fantasy games visual style and a great desire to advance the genre to a new level.
  • Knowledge of tools and principles of visual effects in the game engines.
  • Rich imagination.

Main responsibilities:

  • Working with the art director, leading artist, and head UX designer to achieve the best results and required quality.
  • Development and implementation of the fantastic visual style of the interface.
  • Development of the visual part and functions of the game interface in close collaboration with game and UX designers.
  • Preparation of the final APT resources for integration in the game.
  • Animation of the required interface elements.
  • Supporting and promotion of the visual part of the project to the next level.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a UI Artist in the gaming industry.

Black Beacon is looking for a Lead 3D Character Artist to work in a large-scale MMO game project. You’ll become a part of cohesive community of artists, engineers and designers whose sole purpose is to make a really deep and immersive game world.

Main responsibilities:

  • Creation of  impressive character model.
  • Collaboration with an art director and the leading specialists of art department to achieve optimal results and quality.
  • Supervision of a team of 3D Artists.
  • A full cycle of characters.
  • Support and taking the visual aspect of the project on a whole new level.
  • Active participation in the team effort, coordination of the actions of the 3D department with the rest of the team to achieve the best results.

Requirements:

  • Vast experience working as Lead 3D Artist/Lead 3D Character Artist in gaming industry.
  • Participation in gaming and related projects of AAA level while holding the position of Lead 3D Character Artist/3D Character Artist.
  • Easy handling of 3D graphical editors. Modeling and texture mapping using 3DS Max, Maya, ZBrush, Quixel Suite, or using any other similar graphical editors.
  • Experience working with a team and outsourcing work.
  • Bear responsibility for the quality of the work created by the 3D Artist/3D Character Artist department.
